Reality TV Stars raise money to re-open a shelter closed due to inhumane conditions and dead/sick dogs

Every animal hoarder claims to be a ‘rescue’, but not every ‘rescue’ is a hoarding operation.

Animal hoarders are a devastating problem for legitimate rescues and shelters. When a hoarder is shut down, area shelters must suddenly take in all of the animals, and usually nearly all are sick, injured, and parasite infested, and that was the situation with SoCo. Like the horrible facilities you see in this video, SoCo owners took in massive amounts of money over a period of 11 years (according to them), yet they have not bothered to build a single kennel. That means the dogs are exposed to ticks, fleas, heart-worm, and many conditions from being exposed to excessive sun, heat, cold, and rain.

This documentary explains hoarding a bit more, with another situation very similar to SoCo.
